Is the companion a real person?+
No. The companion is powered by artificial intelligence — it is a computer program, not a human being. It is also not a counselor or therapist. It is here to listen and encourage, but it cannot provide medical or mental health advice.
Who can see my diary entries?+
Only you. Your diary entries, mood journal text, and life stories are private to your account. Family Circle members can see a weekly wellness summary (like how many days you logged a mood), but they cannot read your diary.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
Our paid plans do not automatically renew, so you are not charged again unless you choose to make a new purchase. If you want a refund, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will help you.
How do I delete my account and data?+
Go to Settings and tap "Delete My Account." You will be asked to confirm by typing "delete." This permanently removes your diary, mood logs, memories, chat messages, and other personal data. It cannot be undone.
Can I download my data?+
Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Download My Data" to get a copy of your information.
What does "anonymous" mean in Private Support?+
In the Private Support area, your posts are shown without your name to other users. However, your posts are still tied to your account, and our administrators can see who wrote a post if needed for safety. "Anonymous" means other users cannot see your name — not that the platform has no record.
Is this app a medical service?+
No. SilverSpiritsGoldenYears is a wellness companion, not a medical, therapy, or emergency service. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice. In a crisis, call or text 988. For emergencies, call 911.
How do I invite family to my Circle?+
Go to Settings → Family Circle to create your circle and invite up to 3 family members. They will receive a link to join and can see your weekly wellness summary and send you gentle nudges.
Accessibility
We want SilverSpiritsGoldenYears to be easy for everyone to use. Here is what we offer:
- Read Aloud: Many pages have a "Read Aloud" button that reads the text out loud.
- Larger Text: Turn on "Larger Text" in Settings to make all text 25% bigger.
- Voice Input: Diary, chat, and mood features support voice input so you can speak instead of type.
- Simple Navigation: Clear buttons, large touch targets, and easy-to-read colors.
